What originally started out as a hobby and “stress-reducing” adventure for Brett, has now turned into a family business. Drawing inspiration from his grandfather, he began as a hobbyist woodworker at a young age, always having a knack for visualizing the final product from an empty work bench. After purchasing their dream home, Staci and Brett set out to design and fabricate modifications for their home. Neighbors began to take interest in the amount of wood and sawdust accumulated in their garage, and soon Brett was receiving requests from neighbors and friends for custom furniture and décor. The complexities of 2020 allowed him the opportunity to begin experimenting with live edge slabs and epoxy rivers to create a range of custom tables.
As a full-time remote worker for a software company, Staci would mostly complain about the amount of noise, and dust that would eventually trickle into our house. Now, she takes an active role in the family business, aiming to understand the work behind her hubby’s creations and document her perspective. She also assists in managing parts of the business including the blog and website.
Brett & Staci currently reside in Charlotte, North Carolina with their daughter and Golden Retriever.
