Project Description
This stunning centerpiece for the dining room measures 42" wide, 96" long, 30" tall, with the top 2-1/8" thick. This size allows for comfortable seating for 8 to 10 guests. Sourced from the Pacific Northwest, this larger brother to the Wylie Coffee table was fabricated from English Walnut and black epoxy creating one of a kind rivers along each side. The grain color range from light pale near the sapwood to dark chocolate brown closer to the heartwood. With marbled mineral lines, grays, some reds, and even purples are visible.
The influence of this table can be found in historic downtown Belmont, at the majestic Stowe Park, named for retired textile executive and founder of the world-class, 450-acre botanical gardens that bears his name; Daniel Stowe. The epoxy rivers, with their complex twists and turns feeding larger bodies with jagged edges, pays homage to the US National Whitewater Center.
For a modern and elegant look, this tabletop is supported by Flowyline Designs, "Akro" powder-coated, matte black, solid steel legs, for a clean look. These are set 20" from the edge allowing for plenty of legroom for the end seat positions. The top is finished with natural, clear polyx-oil for years of durability. Water-resistant, and food safe.
