Project Description

This commissioned entry table began as a locally sourced pine plank developed into a Shou Sugi Ban or "fire" table. The natural colors of the pine were desired to give a stark contrast to the layers of black, white, and silver tones of the char. To add additional depth, colored pigment by Black Diamond was introduced to the potions of the resin pours. The slab is completely encapsulated in Superclear 2.0 Liquid Glass and topped with Superclear Table Top epoxy and polished smooth.

The top measures 66" long, 15" wide, 2.75" thick. For a contemporary look, this table is supported by Flowyline Designs, "Curva" powder-coated, matte black steel legs.
